That's right, this competition is different than most out there, in that we not only want to hear your songs, but we want to provide you with valuable information that will help you mold and craft your songs into radio friendly, award winning material.
This year, Legacy Productions is partnering with industry leaders to provide an opportunity for you to learn the craft of writing, receive critiques on your songs, as well as have them submitted to a leading Nashville Publisher for consideration.
Through conference calls you will be able to speak to award winning Christian writers who have songs on the radio everyday. They will share their experience with you in an effort to help you acheive your goals.
Here's the process:
1. Submit your song in MP3 format via our website
2. Based on the date you submit, you will join a confernce call on a pre-determined day (Schedule to be
posted soon)This conference call will be hosted by a leading songwriter and/or publisher who has had
multiple songs published and received radio air play. There, we will share with you 5 KEY elements every
song MUST have. We will also answer questions you may have.
3. A panel of Judges will listen to your song and provide a written critique to aid you in understaind the
song's potential.
4. The Judges will select one song as the winner.
Awards
The winning song will be professionally recorded at the Legacy Recording Studio. We will utilize studio musicians to record your song, and will provide a vocalist to (unless the writer chooses to utlize their vocals), to include backgrounds.
Once the song is recorded we will submit your song to a leading industry publisher for consideration. We will market the song to publishers for a period of one year in an attempt to gain a writing contract for the writer(s).
The writer will be invited to Ichthus to perform the song on one of their stages during the Ichthus Festival
The song will be submitted to distribution channels as a single, to include I-Tunes, Tune Core, Rhapsody, etc...
Registration
The Registration Fee is $50.00 or $90.00 for 2 songs. Your registration includes :
1. Conference call - Providing 5 KEY elements EVERY song must have.
